BSNL ready to launch WiMax in Noida NCR
Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will launch WiMax service which would enable the users to access services like video telephony, TV on mobile, video-conferencing, tele-medicine and e-learning. The speed will be up to 7 Mbps so as to get wireless Internet Connectivity in Noida and Greater Noida because this service would be expanded in Noida and Greater Noida.
3G auction to drive investment in 12 to 18 months
The Cabinet’s decision to auction 3G spectrum in January next year will give a fillip to investments in port, power, telecom and roads in the next 12-18 months, deputy Planning Commission chairman Montek Singh Ahluwalia [ Images ] said.
“The 3G auction decision taken on Monday is a major one and will open the door to a lot of investments in 12 to 18 months in power, telecom, roads and port,” Montek Singh Ahluwalia said on Tuesday via video-conferencing at the CII-Suresh Neotia Centre of Excellence.
BSNL Launches WiMAX Broadband Services with 7mbps Speed

India’s National telecom backbone and state-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) launches first commercial WiMAX the 4th Generation Wireless Broadband Service in the state of Rajasthan with speed up to 7 mbps to empowered the rural India with High Speed Super Fast Internet.
India Readying for IPv6 Address spaces

With IPv4 address spaces expected to be exhausted by 2012, deployment of IPv6 is imminent. To get a grasp of the current situation of broadband in India, senior members of DoT and the telecom commission, as well as system integrators, application and system vendors will be meeting in Delhi this month at the IPv6 Summit’09
The forum has been organized by theIPV6, a non-profit organization, in collaboration with Telecom Engineering Center & Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications & IT. The 2 day summit will be held on December 15th & 16th 2009 at The Park Hotel, New Delhi.
