Honda Revive plan to open second plant
Japan’s Honda Motor Co’s Indian car unit has revived plans for production at its second plant in India, a senior company official said.
Honda had deferred plans for its new plant in the northwestern Indian state of Rajasthan, citing depressed auto demand.

Yamaha launches Rs 12.5-lakh 2010 YZF-R1 in India
Japanese two-wheeler maker Yamaha today introduced its superbike 2010 YZF-R1 at a price of Rs 12.5 lakh (ex-showroom) in India.
“While the market for superbikes in India is still limited, consumer response to our previously launched superbikes has been overwhelming. Its (2010 YZF-R1) launch signifies our successful brand transformation efforts in India,” India Yamaha Motor Chief Executive Officer and MD Yukimine Tsuji said in a statement.

The 110cc engine churns 9Ps of power with a claimed fuel economy of 70kmpl. It also sports V-shaped alloy wheels with tubeless tyres, a feature seen for the first time in the 110cc segment.
